IPAD BRIEF

NEW BRIEF: iPAD DESIGN

Design an interactive story for the iPad. Take an existing story and adapt it to be interactive.
Any target audience
Fictional or non-fiction
Visualize story so a developer can interpret designs for coding
Wire framing
Storyboarding
Dynamic Visualization - Pitch and show how it will work
How will it benefit from being interactive

Possible stories;

Paul Jennings:

Author of books for older children. I loved his books as a child, very strange short stories. Maybe use cow pat custard? Interactivity of flies filling the screen? Could take pictures of yourself and put in the story?

Michael Rosen/Quentin Blake:

Quick lets get out of here! - Poems/Short stories for children illustrated by Quentin Blake. Could do a collection of poems by Michael Rosen? Interactivity options quite low?

Ghost World!!
Make an adult graphic novel interactive?

Original comic:

I particularly like the below take from the original graphic novel... Could have artwork somewhere between real and drawn?

POETRY?

John Hegley:
Very vocal poet - Short poems - A collection of John Hegley poems for adults? Limited interactivity for adults? No adult wants to play around with it? Or would actually buy an interactive book? Maybe just the audio would benefit this?

I like the below illustration for John Hegley's 'Glad to wear glasses' book...
John Cooper Clarke

Interactive John Cooper Clarke book for adults? Very gritty - Black and white - Cardboard cutouts etc?

Classic Fairy tales?

Hans Christian Anderson-
The Ugly Duckling
Thumbalina
The Emperors new clothes

BROTHERS GRIMM?

Creepy. Interesting visuals? Good interactivity for kids...
